From a young age, she learned the importance of eating locally, tasting food straight from the source. She also witnessed firsthand how our healthcare system often leans too heavily on medications, and over-reliance on prescription drugs for various ailments. This sparked her desire to explore alternative healing methods, eventually leading her to the world of bodywork and massage.

Living in Seattle she dove into the world of massage therapy (a practice that, at the time, was still relatively under the radar). Her path took another crucial turn when she relocated to Southern California and decided to pursue prenatal and additional advanced trainings.

Mikki’s passion for prenatal massage was ignited after being trained by two pioneers in the field. One week after receiving her certification, an Orange County news station aired a segment on pregnancy massage, leading to a flood of new clients. This moment was the catalyst for her career, and soon after, her business was invited to participate in hospital maternity nights at two local hospitals. She became the first and only massage therapist to hold official privileges at Orange County’s Mission and Saddleback Hospitals, where she provides massage services to high-risk mothers, and continues to do so to this very day.

In addition to her work with hospitals, Mikki also has worked at many luxury hotel spas including The Ritz Carlton; Marriott Autograph; Solage, Calistoga; Auberge du Soleil, Napa and others. This vast and diverse experience makes her uniquely qualified – understanding the inner workings and functionality of a variety of spas and resorts.

As for her aromatherapy background, she was trained as a clinical aromatherapist at one of the leading aromatherapy schools – The American College of Healthcare Sciences in Portland Oregon. She continued her education in London, France, Scotland and Ireland, by some of the best aromatherapists in the world.

Mikki’s Mission is Twofold:

1. To empower other therapists to not only meet the expectations of your pregnant clients but to exceed them. She desires your facility to create unforgettable, high-quality experiences while simultaneously enhancing its reputation and bottom line.
2. Educate your therapist to see and understand the vast benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy. Inspire your team to become passionate about providing these income-producing services.

She has since integrated essential oils into her work with expectant mothers, providing support during labor, delivery and postpartum care. Over the years Mikki has helped over 13,000 pregnant women and their children. Additionally, she has been contracted by an international company to create aromatherapy blends for their line of products.

Mikki’s work bridges the gap between technical skills and heartfelt service, helping resorts and spas boost their business, reputation and client loyalty.
